The first preseason match of CEVO Season 9 saw Code-2 eSports taking on New Jersey Team Omega[5] on de_cache in a best of one. After winning the knife round we take CT side to start, but lose the opening pistol round. A force buy 2nd round inflicted serious economic damage despite losing the round. Omega5 manage to convert the pistol into a 3-0 start but suffered serious damage in the process. The first gun round was an easy hold for the Code-2 boys and they easily brought it back to a 3-3 tie. From there it got tough with back and forth gun rounds leading to half-buys, forced eco rounds and even a post-round team kill. By the end of the half it was 8-7 us.
A quick B-take on our T pistol round allowed us to convert to 11-7. From there a dominant T side saw Omega only picking up 2 more rounds and with thatvCode-2 closes out the first pre-season match 16-9. Strafe lead the match going 24-3-15 with St0rm and Tr0mpr following up with 20-18 each. Well played gentlemen!
